Newspaper Introduction

1. My favorite newspaper front page was The Montgomery, from Ala. I liked it because of the big story about Breast cancer.
2. My favorite headline was the Breast cancer story, I appreciate the awareness it brings to the issue.
3. There are three different stories on the front page.
4. There are usually two or three photos, one large and one to two small. There's also varying text, small print with medium subtitles and a large title over all.
5. The shapes of the text and pictures, as well as the sizes, vary frequently on newspaper front pages.

Front Page: Cancer diagnosis doesn't stop Gomez
Summary: Theatre Teacher, Roberto Gomez, is currently fighting cancer. The community is pitching in to help since he's so dedicated to his work. Doctors found a tumor in his left liver, underneath his heart. When he went in to get it removed, he was informed that it wasn't possible to operate on, making him fight harder. His daughter, Lauren has refused to let him go down without a fight, getting him through the painfully tough times. Him and his family have made a large impact in the news and in the community.

Student Life: Marching Band Travels Abroad for New Year's Parade with Millions Watching
